Donkey Ordered Inside for Braying on Balcony

It's a hard life for show animals, especially those on the move, and this poor little donkey in Belgium is feeling the underside of the show business.

Trapped on the balcony of a cultural center in Brussels, Belgium, Lola the donkey is here to perform in a play The Palestinian. When she's not in the spotlight, her owner has decided to keep her outside for the fresh air and sunshine.

Problem is, the neighbors don't enjoy Lola's company. They complained to the police that the donkey was braying too much. The Belgian police then ordered the owner to take the donkey indoors but were refused.

Lola's owner said that she will be arrested before she puts her donkey indoors. I mean, if I was a donkey, I would rather be outside than indoors, and if you can't find a pasture, I guess the balcony is the next thing.

One of the neighbors says she sympathizes with Lola's owner but thinks Lola deserves greener pastures. And she's probably right, I mean just look at how narrow the balcony is, there's probably more space for the donkey if she moves inside. No wonder she's braying and licking the doors.

Lola the donkey may really end up returning to the pastures as police are coming back with animal welfare officers, presumably to take her away.
